Key findings :
The news portrays portrays African Americans as in poverty more than half the time, while the stats don't actually match up. Black people only make up about 27% of all poor Americans.
Based on a questionnaire ( linked above) people did perceive African Americans more negativity in real lives. This was due to TV they watched. people also were more likely to believe the positive depictions of African Americans were NOT realistic... Interesting.
Stereotypes can affect peoples perceptions of you, along with the news and media.
